The Space

Welcome to "Cabin Leisure," otherwise known as Unit 264. It's on the north tip of the property and is the largest cottage here that lines the river.

The cottage itself has an open floor plan. There's one bedroom with a new comfy king bed and a single bathroom with a combo tub/shower. The rest of the space is wide open with the kitchen, living room and dining area all connecting. There are three sets of windows in this open space that gives you a nearly 270-degree view of the Deschutes River at all times. The view from here is breathtaking. You are so close to the river you might look out the window and forget you're in a cottage and think you're on a river yacht.

The river trail runs right by this unit. The windows are tinted, which gives you a fair degree of privacy even though you're next to a popular path. Take the river trail north and cross the nearby footbridge for a pleasant hike. Take the trail south and you'll find yourself in the heart of downtown in 10 minutes. In the summer many people wade into the river in several well-know spots between your cottage and the footbridge. You'll see from your window the most popular spot, which you'll see people relaxing at on most warm days in June, July and August.

Aside from the amazing location, the cottage itself is fantastic. It got a total makeover during the summer of 2021 by a professional interior designer. The living room has a 75-inch smart TV where you can sign into your own Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ and any other streaming sites. We have air conditioning for the hot summer days and a gas fireplace to keep your cottage cozy in the winter.

Unit 264 "Cabin Leisure" can sleep four. Two can enjoy the brand new king bed in the bedroom, while two more can use the sofa-bed in the living room. Pullout sofas are not known for their comfort, so we recommend this unit for two adults and two children. We would not advocate four adults, unless the two using the sofa-bed go into the situation knowing they're not getting a standard bed.

The kitchen has brand new appliances: microwave, oven and refrigerator with ice maker. This is one of the few units at Bend Riverside that has a washer and dryer in the unit. The property otherwise has a public laundry room for guests, which will remain available to you. It also includes access to our on-site pool and hot tub, and is pet friendly! It's the perfect vacation spot for the family!

"The beauty this cottage has is amazing ! You couldn’t get a better view ! Spectacular ! The place was very clean very well stocked ! Kitchen there was everything ! We enjoyed walking the path to downtown , we ate at the wild rose it was awesome . The only downside was all the smoke in the air a 156 rating ! But the cottage itself was perfect for us and our 2 fur babies Gabby and Emma enjoyed the walking paths outside . We will be back to stay for sure ! Also enjoyed the decoration also !

"From the moment we arrived we knew we were in a special place – before we even opened the door! The location alone is not to be missed. Right at the very end of the last road, down by the river. The best views, the best trails, right outside your door! The Cabin – and maybe that’s not even the right word – is a comfortable and luxurious home-away-from-home place to stay. Excellently appointed, comfortable, and welcoming. We wanted for nothing. Clean, bright, everything you could ask for in a kitchen (and more than we have in our own at home!), as well as the PERFECT fireplace for Floridians to defrost by at the end of the day. We loved our time there and, due to the luck of bad weather in Denver, even extended our stay to cover our rescheduled flight. The office staff, and especially Holly, were a delight to work with. Accomodating, polite, available, and quick to respond. We will absolutely be back. Our family, who live in Bend, loved the Cabin so much we are gifting them a weekend away as soon as they choose when. We highly recommend Bend Riverside Rentals and 264 Cabin Leisure to everyone!

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cabin Leisure condo. From the amazing views, the cleanliness and coziness of the condo, to the location, location, location … perfection! "Great unit and location. We rented this unit because it had air conditioning. The temp was. Over 100 outside for the 4 nights we stayed. The unit air conditioning had broken prior to our arrival and there was a portable unit in main room. Bedroom was warm our entire stay. We should have been informed of this in advance and offered another room or a discount or both prior to arrival or when we called after the first night to ask how to cool bedroom. We only received excuses when we called. We see that the Riverside is improving but this approach was disappointing, not customer oriented and we will not recommend others to stay here.

"Fab location. My only disappointment was that my journey to get there was “eventful”, and so I only got there at noon the day after I was supposed to check in! I was just dossiapointed that I had missed outthose extra 20 hours! This spot is (I think- I have t stayed in any of the other rooms, but, I think…) this is prime location. Of the entire “residency”, this is the final cabin. You look straight to the river. Absolutely beautiful. Immaculately clean. Lovely staff.
